Ultimate list of Awesome Vegan Cheeses

Ask a non-vegan why they can’t do it and they’ll likely tell you;

“I just can’t give up cheese.”

The good news is you don’t have to “give up” cheese.

Over the last few years, several companies have taken on the task of creating non-dairy, plant-based vegan cheeses and I’m here to report, there are some great cheeses out there.

I’ve had the pleasure and good fortune of getting to try a whole bunch of these as I too struggled with quitting cheese. For me, pizza, grilled cheese sandwiches, and cheeseburgers are an essential part of every diet.

I’ve been on the hunt for cheese substitutes since we decided to stop eating dairy.

My list below is a collection of cheeses I have tried and some that are on my list.

As you know, the types of dairy-based cheeses is vast. There are many styles and flavours. As for vegan cheeses, the varieties are starting to come out as new businesses are started and new cheese become available.

I have tried hard cheeses, soft cheese, block cheese, cream cheese, cheese wrapped in banana leaves and shredded cheese.

Below is my ultimate list of vegan cheeses that you should give a try and see if it satisfies your taste buds.
